Welcome Modelers

Do you like to build plastic models of airplanes, cars, armor, figures or ships?  Do you read modeling magazines and wonder where there are others like yourself who enjoy this creative and relaxing hobby? Have you ever wished for a chance to show your work to other modelers and exchange ideas and techniques?

Our chapter club is dedicated to the promotion of the hobby of scale modeling. We hope the information we have gathered here will be beneficial to all fellow modelers. Our goal here is to keep our chapter members and non-members informed as to the latest club news, club happenings, meetings, contests and shows, and above all, keep the entire modeling community up to date as to what we are all doing, and whats happening.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at HobbyTownUSA located in Tupelo MS. Our meetings usually start with a session related to club business, presented by our chapter President Carl McLaughlin. This is usually followed by a "hands on" demonstration by one of our members.
Many members bring in their current projects in progress to share ideas, tips and techniques. Meetings are free to the public. We welcome modelers of all skill levels - from beginner to expert.

We do not charge admission or dues for our monthly meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend. We encourage membership in the National IPMS, but we do not require membership for you to participate in our meetings. However, your first meeting is free, without having to pay a yearly dues fee.  The least you'll get out of it is a chance to improve your enjoyment of the hobby by learning new skills and information, as well as making new friends who are modelers like yourself and who speak your language!  So come to a meeting, bring a model you've built or one you're working on now, and join the fun. If anyone else in your family builds models, then have them bring one as well. And remember -  you like to build plastic models: You are not alone!

Tentative schedule of our regular meetings. All meetings are held at the HobbyTownUSA in Tupelo MS. on the second Sat. at 1:30pm. Dues are $10 adult, $1 up to age 18.  Barnes Crossing Plaza, 4378 Mall Dr. Tupelo, MS. 38804
