- Plan out placement and scene. Draw on base.
- Use odd numbers - rule of three. Don't follow side of base...
- Change heights of scene - epoxy putty, sytrofoam, etc. Woodland Scenics..
- Games Workshop epoxy ribbon - Green stuff. Don't need to prep base. Workable, but dries very hard
- Cardboard for large bases then add surface.
- Scale effect with painting - look at real life examples or terrain. Take pictures.
- Lay 'gravel' first, paint it, then add grass.
- Variation of colors - add depth.
- Do not take away from main item.
